Das IROC verbindet seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2002 die Patientenversorgung mit der Forschung. Neben regelmässigen Vorträgen und Kursen an nationalen (SOG) wie auch internationalen Tagungen (DOG, ESCRS, AAO etc.) organisiert IROC seit dem Jahr 2022 auch eine eigene Fortbildung, die „Anterior Segment Excellence“. Schwerpunkte unserer Forschungs - und Fortbildungstätigkeit sind die Refraktive Chirurgie, Erkrankungen der Hornhaut und deren Therapie, sowie die Behandlung des Grauen Stars mit verschiedensten Kunstlinsenimplantaten.
